Virtual reality video games as pain relievers could become the new alternative to prescription painkillers in the not so distant future.
A company called AppliedVR has been experimenting with using Virtual Reality (VR) technology as a means to treating anxiety and pain after patients have had medical procedures done.
The only downside to bringing virtual reality treatment to life is the cost, most hospitals and medical facilities will not have the money to afford such advanced tech.
But cheaper VR headsets have been produced in the last few years and could prove promising for the potential of VR pain relief and anxiety help.
